This is the Reason
I Made Jot That!

• For 6 months, my family and I used Google Drive shared docs, eventually just for the basics like groceries. Everything else felt too forced. The interface was just too sterile, slow and clunky to record our best ideas.

• I almost went back to paper and pen—it just felt faster and less fiddly than a all the steps Google Drive took.

Is this the best tech can do?

Remember the
Good Microsoft?

• Word, Excel, Paint, and Notepad: I want to thank Microsoft for making these great programs that a lot of people use every day.

• I assume that Microsoft has a cloud-based text editor. I assume it has a subscription. Let me look it up...Okay, they basically have thier own version of Google Drive, but with a 1/3 of the storage.

• The reason I didn't know what Microsoft has is because I have been avoiding doing business with them for about 8 years because their business model is so tricky. As I looked them up, it was hard to figure out what features I would get when and for what price. It all is just to push people to an Office 365 subcription.

Sorry for the insults, Microsoft, but Office is a product we all bought 20 years ago. You should make a cool new thing instead of milking the old ones!
